5th Pennine Scouts enjoy day of joy and learning with Muslim Stars SEND group
A unique scout session was recently held at Neeli Mosque in Rochdale, dedicated to a group for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

Members of the 5th Pennine Scouts group attended the session with the Muslim Stars group for a day filled with joy, learning, and meaningful interactions.

The 5th Pennine Scouts, known for their diverse activities ranging from cooking and hiking to canoeing and team building, took a delightful turn in their routine to engage with the Muslim Stars.

At the weekend of the 18th September, two of our scout leaders from Pennine, Mel Sackfield and Hilary Smith, went down to London, representing their scout group (the 29thA Rochdale) and Pennine District, to stand in line to view and respect the Queen's casket as she lay in state.

It was a very moving time for all concerned and we are all very grateful for the opportunity provided.

They stood in line for 14 hours (wow).

Here are some pictures from that day (click on each to expand) and a short video.

On the 3rd October, we honoured some of the members of our district who had received awards - from 5 year to Silver Wolf. It was a lovely event and everyone enjoyed the afternoon (including the pie and cake, of course). Click on any picture below to enlarge it.
